Assaulted by Ikea

So erm we went to Ikea caus we were a mile from it anyway, at best I settled on wanting a bag of pot pourit for under £2 GBP.

We started off well with a cup of free coffee with their rewards card but somewhere between the kitchen section and the bathroom section they got us good!

I went from saying 'no' to those little plastic corners that you put on furniture even though I regularly impale myself on a dresser; to buying:

• 8 coat hangers
• A steel clipped glass jar
• A bag of pot pourit
• A cappucino cup that came with a plate for it
• 2 plastic tumblers
• A cereal bowl
• 3 storage boxes
• Large hot dog and fries
  

Total: £14. Fail.

How to Save cash - Like I know!

Hello,

Just a quick introduction to my new blog.

I'm not writing to create an audience, I'm not a narcisist, this is my personal account of how difficult it is to put some cash away in your twenties. I'm not going to post my annual income, I'm not going to post how much money I have put away, it's just a really boring account of how truly difficult it is to overcome the advertising that is thrust in our faces.

I live away from home, not a great distance but I have to pay rent - my current total of rent and bills is basically £400 which excludes car related stuff but includes cell phone and household bills.

Let the games begin!
